Sampdorio, who have been linked with both Manchester United and Real Madrid in recent weeks, have reportedly agreed a deal with Caglari star Davide Astori to sell him.
It’s a move that could be completed in the coming days, according to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (Gazzetta) which quotes a source as saying that the two sides have “signed the final agreement on a contract” and the deal will be submitted to Sampdori’s financial department on Friday.
It remains to be seen what the deal might be worth, but a fee of €11 million is thought to be the price tag, with CAGLari president Claudio Bertolucci being quoted as saying: “We are very happy.
Davide is a great player and we can’t wait for him to get to Italy.”
Sampdoria’s first-choice keeper, Gianluca Di Marzio, is another option for the Rossoneri, although Di Marzo’s agent, Silvia De Giorgio, has already said that he will take the player on loan if he’s offered the chance to leave.
