President Donald Trump has posted a series of tweets criticizing Fox News and the network’s ratings on his social media accounts.
In one tweet, Trump said he has seen the ratings decline “bigly” and that “the ratings for the Fox News shows are way down.
Bad for ratings and people watching. #FoxNews — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 10, 2021In another tweet, he wrote: “I saw the ratings for #Foxnews last night on the networks biggest network FOX.
Bad ratings for ratings.
People watching, not watching.
“Fox News declined to comment on the tweets, but a spokeswoman said that the network “remains committed to its commitment to the highest standards of journalism and integrity.
We will continue to focus on what matters most to our viewers, not our ratings.
“The Fox News ratings dropped to their lowest point in five years in the week ending Jan. 9.
Fox News was up 2% in the ratings from last week.
The network has been plagued by a host of problems.
A Washington Post investigation in January revealed that it had hired a former Breitbart News executive to be a contributor.
The executive’s wife also had close ties to the company and its founder, Steve Bannon.
The report also found that Fox News had hired at least two Fox News employees to work in the company’s Washington bureau.
Trump has also criticized the network for its ratings, which have consistently been down during his administration.
In the week leading up to the inauguration, he said on Twitter that the ratings are down.
In his latest tweet, on Thursday, Trump blasted the ratings, calling them “failing @foxandfriends.”
Fox and Friends’ ratings have fallen in every year of the Obama presidency, and the ratings have been down significantly during Trump’s first six months in office.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
