Apple is known for its sleek design, its impeccable execution and its ability to make money on everything from apps to music.
But it’s also a brand that has had its fair share of controversy, particularly for its handling of sexual harassment claims.
Apple, for example, faced several reports in recent years alleging sexual harassment at the company.
In November, for instance, the New York Times reported that Apple had hired a former high-level executive who had previously worked at Disney and then-President Michael Eisner to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct against a former employee.
That person’s name was Evan Blass.
According to the Times, Apple had investigated the claims and determined that Blass was the only person at the firm who could determine whether the allegations were valid.
Apple had been investigating the allegations for several months, but it hadn’t been made public until the Times published its story.
That was a major blow to the reputation of Apple, which has been under fire for its alleged handling of complaints against former executives.
The Times also reported that after Blass concluded his investigation, the company had decided not to bring any more charges against Blass, who left the company in January.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The company also faces accusations of ignoring sexual harassment allegations at its corporate offices.
The Times reported in September that one woman who worked at the corporate headquarters in Cupertino had been sexually harassed at work by her former boss.
